220. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) never lost the remembrance of Book.
Usually men would forget many things. The Prophets (pbut) were also not exempted from such forgetfulness.
Nevertheless, if the messengers of Allah (Prophets (pbut)) forget the messages of Allah, a portion of such messages might not be available to the people. Hence, in this verse 87:6, it has been said that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) would not suffer from forgetfulness as for the Book was concerned. This verse states thus, “We will make you read (O Muhammad) so that you will not forget”.
Hence, this verse also has been comprising an idea that none should assume whether Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had omitted any one of the revelations of Quran, which was revealed to him without conveying the same to them.
220. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) never lost the remembrance of Book.
