62. METHOD OF SPENDING
In this Quranic verse 2:215 the Question that was raised is regarding what will be spent. But apart from answering the Question what will be spent the answer given for the question, ‘how will it be spent?’ is also given.
This verse (2:215) makes it clear for whom will it be spent, besides revealing ‘the thing which is spent must have been gained through fair means. It also gives a reply to the question, ‘How will it be spent? Or ‘to whom it should be spent’
This verse also asserts that it would be better to spent for the parents, kindred, orphans, poor and the way- farer rather spending for other purposes.
Certain people who would spend for several charity measures leave their parents as orphans and ignore the kindred also. From this Quranic verse it is also preached that these people (parents and kindred) will be cared first.
