83. IS SHAITAN THE REASON FOR MADNESS?
This Quranic verse (2:275) denotes the person who is raised as mad is considered to be touched by Shaitan.
According to Islamic belief those who were mad would never become sinners even if they did any evil. Shaitan's business is only to make all the people sinners. Shaitan would not gain but lose if he made people insane. Neither he has the authority nor is it his job.
Quran admits talks such as “Shaitan made such things” when referring to evil deeds.
Prophet Ayyoob (pbuh) said, “Shaitan has done like this when he suffered from illness and woe. (Quran 38: 41). Taking advantage of this verse no one should assume that Shaitan had authority to cause illness and woe.
Prophet Ayoob (pbuh) said like that only out of respect those evil things should not be related to Allah.
Similarly even though insanity was caused by Allah that evil has been related to Shaitan.
